Jessica and James beautiful August wedding with a Catholic ceremony. Such a fun day. It was killer hot and we were all so thankful for the A/C in the flat and we were able to stay inside and take pictures in the cool air… but also WAY COOL architecture. So fun having this stunning Three Oaks Michigan venue so close to home.

This sunrise Shenandoah National Park gave us was so moody. It gave us so many colors and versions of itself the first half of our session before the sun slipped behind the morning clouds.
This hike ended up being a little longer than we originally thought, but I loved hitting the trail with Shelby + Daniel in formal wear. And that waterfall. Heart eyes!
Sweet Bella. This beautiful high school senior was once my neighbor and I BABYSAT HER. And now she’s graduating high school. Does that make me old? The kids I babysat are graduating????
Back in 2009 I was in the beginning days of my photography journey. I took a film photography class. I carried my dad’s old 35mm film camera with me everywhere. I was at the park with Bella and I snapped a darling photo of her sitting in a playground tube. (I have the negative still. I should reprint and share!).
And this summer I got to take her senior pictures for her 13 years later. I love when life comes full circle like this. These moments are beautiful and I am trying not to take them for granted.
Xuxu & Joanna had a simple, quiet & beautiful beach wedding right in my hometown Bridgman. I'm always so happy to be close to home for my job. And Weko Beach gave us the most BEAUTIFUL sunset this night in late October. The sunset was so good that it literally STOPPED the reception and everyone went outside to watch.
I loved every minute of getting to work with Dan + Fiona. When first met at Journeyman Distillery to talk wedding details, I knew it was going to be a beautiful day at Blissful Barn. The way they looked at each other and the way they smiled at everyone around them spoke to me. And I am so grateful they let me capture the joy and excitement of their intimate day.
McKenzie wanted field and flower pictures. And I finally found the perfect spot near Second Nature Gardens in Stevensville. When they stepped out of the car, I knew we were going to have a great time together. Can't wait for their wedding in Grand Rapids next June!

Greg & Andria are the sweetest couple! And we had a blast with their Lake Michigan, St. Joseph Pier engagement session.
Hannah and Abdullah are getting married in September at 12 Corners Vineyard. Our sunrise engagement shoot at Lakeside Inn's beach ended up being stormy and moody. It's always fun to shoot in conditions out of the ordinary.
I'm looking forward to their Pure Michigan vineyard wedding!
Pregnancy made me unmotivated and uninspired! But my baby girl is here now and I'm heading back to work in just a few days. I thought I'd blog my favorite wedding from last fall before I have too many weddings this summer occupying my time! Jourdan and Nate... you two were incredible! I loved every part of your backyard Fennville wedding.
This week is a sad week because these two gorgeous people and their sweet baby Gabe are moving to Florida. I'm so sad about southwest Michigan losing two wonderful people, but I'm so excited for their new life in Florida near family. In honor of their departure, I'm finally blogging their maternity session.
