I texted Amanda a couple hours before our scheduled session and told her it looked like it was going to be raining. I gave her the choice to reschedule or proceed with our scheduled time. She choose to keep the session even if it meant it might be raining. I love these types of brave and bold clients! Seriously the best. Well it rained… I mean poured for the first 20 minutes. The pictures don’t do the amount of rain justice. Then we decided to drive down to New Buffalo Beach. The clouds parted, the sun peaked through, a rainbow appeared. It was magical, beautiful and inspiring. Guys, great risk, great reward. The next day I found out a tornado had touched down during this storm about 45 minutes away from us in South Bend! So crazy! Enjoy these!Read More
It was so fun shooting a Grand Rapids wedding. Grand Rapids isn’t that far from me, but I tend to book weddings mostly in my tiny corner of Michigan. Luke and McKenzies wedding was at Saint Andrews Cathedral and reception at Thousand Oaks Golf club. Their whole family and friends were high energy and full of love. What a beautiful day it was!

While I'm in a blogging mood, I may as well get this gorgeous Warren Dunes engagement session loaded up too! I'm so excited for Eric + Kayla's wedding at Tabor Hilly Winery this fall!
I have never met such troopers! Chris & Flory were in good spirits the whole day despite the fact that their wedding day came with lots of rain and freezing cold temperatures. Getting married in April is risky business in Michigan. They didn't get the Silver Beach pictures they were hoping for, but the rain let up just enough to give us a small window for outdoor pictures. I loved getting to know these two over the last year. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL COUPLE! Inside and out. SERIOUSLY. There was so much love every where they went.Read More
Xuxu & Joanna had a simple, quiet & beautiful beach wedding right in my hometown Bridgman. I'm always so happy to be close to home for my job. And Weko Beach gave us the most BEAUTIFUL sunset this night in late October. The sunset was so good that it literally STOPPED the reception and everyone went outside to watch.Read More
I loved every minute of getting to work with Dan + Fiona. When first met at Journeyman Distillery to talk wedding details, I knew it was going to be a beautiful day at Blissful Barn. The way they looked at each other and the way they smiled at everyone around them spoke to me. And I am so grateful they let me capture the joy and excitement of their intimate day.Read More
Cyrus and Mackenzie wanted a destination wedding. When the Minneapolis based couple started doing their destination wedding research, they stumbled upon St. Joseph, MI. They thought, and I agree, St. Joe has everything you need to create a "Caribbean" inspired destination without the Caribbean high costs.
Their whole wedding was wonderfully sweet and intimate. But Cyrus and Mackenzie were the sweetest part. Watching them love each other and their little girls was the most inspiring part of the day. I wish them the best in their marriage together!
